Welcome to the application form for Tacoma Creates – Comprehensive Organizational Support for the July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027 funding cycle. We encourage you to read the complete Comprehensive Organizational Support Application Guidelines before you begin filling out this form. In the Application Guidelines, you will find important background information, requirements, and details about how applications are evaluated.
If you are looking for the application form for Impact Funding: Level A or Level B, you will find a separate link for those applications at https://tacomaarts.submittable.com/submit.
If your organization has previously applied for Tacoma Creates funding or other Arts & Cultural Vitality Division programs, you should use the same organizational account in Submittable rather than starting a new one.
HOW TO APPLY
Comprehensive Organizational Support applications must be submitted by Monday, March 9, 2026, 11:59pm. The online form will close automatically at that time; it will not be possible to submit an application after the deadline. Note that staff will not be available to answer questions or provide technical support after 5pm on March 9. Note that Submittable works best on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari web browsers.
- Required questions: Prompts with the word "required" in red text must be completed in order to submit your application. You will not be able to submit your application if any required prompts have been unanswered.
- Saving your application: You are encouraged to save your work! After opening up the application, you will find a "Save Draft" button at the bottom of the application. You may work on this in stages, but if you take a break from the application, we recommend saving, logging out and then logging back in when you start up again. Submittable does time out if you are inactive for long periods of time, and this can impact how your information is saved. Draft applications can be found in the "Saved Drafts" section under the "Submissions" section in your Submittable account.
- Submitting your application: Once you have completed, and reviewed your application, you may click on the “Apply” button at the end of the form. Do not click the "Apply" button until you are completely finished with your application. Once you click "Apply" you will not be able to edit your application. If you submit before the deadline and would like to make an edit, email staff to request that your application is re-opened. Once the deadline has passed, no edits will be possible. You will receive an automated email confirming that your application has been successfully submitted.
USE OF AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) IN APPLICATIONS
The vibrancy of our local cultural sector is based on creative input from local community members, and authenticity matters in publicly funded and public-serving programming. That said, we recognize that applicants may choose to use AI tools to help draft application responses. If you are using AI in any aspect of your organization’s application, please note:
- Applicants are responsible for the accuracy, originality, specificity, and integrity of all submitted materials
- AI-generated content should reflect the applicant’s own ideas and intent, not replace them
- Overuse of AI-generated language can obscure the applicant’s unique voice and may weaken the clarity and authenticity of the proposal
- Community members serving on the review panel will read applications with these guidelines in mind
- Applicants should be aware of risks associated with sharing data and intellectual property with AI tools
